The Ocean’s Overture
What is the lust for life, when the lust for life is taken away,
Depicted by a woman, impermeably underprivileged emotionally,
The lack of empathy haunts me, an irreversible trait I cannot consume,
Blinded by selfishness, aroused by the thought of hint-full accusations,
A ghostly woman, deprived of caress,
A lasso girl, tangled in her own spiraling profound emotions,
Used to disgust me,
No longer do I take the blame,
No longer do I hide in shame,
Indifference has slowly pulled the covers,
A forecast of disappearing light,
The storm has settled, the waves break gently,
She begins to float helplessly on the tide,
Waiting for salvation, it does not arrive,
Like a mermaid, only glitters from outside,
Her heart a dagger – its sharpness hidden in the flash of shattered light
The ocean, an array of tales and cries from the past,
Burning out stars at the bottom of the sea,
Feed the new-born jelly fish their poison,
No more wasteful hopes, no more wishful toasts,
End the evening with a bitter-sweet overture in a new sound mind.
